Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturer who is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will install, repair, and maintain electrical systems; including, but not limited to electrical, industrial machines and components. The ideal Electrical Maintenance Technician has extensive knowledge of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC, Electrical, and welding skills that is accompanied with superb written and verbal communication. The Electrical Maintenance Technician is a full time, temp to hire position in Horn Lake, MS.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities: 

  • Read Blueprints or Schematics to Determine Next Steps 

  • Lead All Electrical Projects & Installations That Are Maintenance Responsibility

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC Issues & Get Outside Help if Needed

  • Diagnose Malfunctioning Equipment Such as Transformers, Motors, & Lighting Fixtures 

  • Establish & Execute Checklists & Procedures For Routine Inspections & Urgent Matters 

  • Tune Equipment Within The Plant, Including IM/APC Systems & Weight Control Equipment 

  • Understand, Troubleshoot, & Tune The Burner System

  • Conduct Motor Control & Power Circuit Troubleshooting 

  • Replace Faulty Electrical Components of Machines, Including Relays, Switches, Motors & Position Sensing Devices 

  • Attend, Lead (When Directed) Training & Safety Meetings 

  • Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements 

Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

  • HS Diploma Or Equivalent Required 

  • 2+ Years of Electrical Maintenance Technician Experience Required 

  • Electrical, PLC, Hydraulic, & Pneumatic Knowledge & Experience Required 

  • Must be Able to Read Blueprints & Schematic Drawings With Accuracy

  • Must Have Basic Understanding of Industrial Electrical Codes

  • Basic MIG (GMAW) & Plasma Welding Experience Required 

  • Solid Computer Experience & Willing to Learn New Programs to Perform The Job 

  • Superb Written & Verbal Communication Skills 

  • Must be Able to Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure & Work Independently & With a Team
