Job Description

Location: Stafford, TXLength: Temporary assignment lasting 3-months Pay Rate: $17/hr. Start Date: ASAP JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Assembly and wiring all electrical components in Boat, such as bow thruster, windlass, control panel, switchgear or small sub-assemble
  • Read, interpret, and follow complex wiring diagrams, schematics, BOM’s
  • Drill and tap holes in specified location to mount components on a specific assembly by hand and power tools
  • Identify components and mount nameplates and other identification tools according to wiring diagram
  • Rework or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety
  • Assemble equipment and products in accordance with established work instructions and standard operating procedures 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs +
  • Assemble electrical resistors ranging from very small parts to large conductors having to be built on skids
  • Work on projects that were custom ordered based on client needs
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Learn and apply proper use and techniques for calipers, micrometers, and indicator dials
  • Receive parts from inventory, identify improper material, report problems to management, request replacement parts
  • Control and operate six machines during assembly
  • Participate in all required quality, process, team, and safety training
  • Review and provide troubleshooting steps to prevent and resolve all mechanical problems, maintain grain elevators
  • Change motors, conveyors, and troubleshoot work with maintenance mechanics
  • High-level mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, and other miscellaneous tasks
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment in the dept. as well as other assigned duties
