As an Electrical-Mechanical Technician (Automation Engineer Senior Analyst), you will play a key role in maintaining and improving highly automated pharmacy production equipment. Your expertise will help maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Shift Information: 2nd shift- Monday- Friday- 2:00 pm-10:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the reliability and performance of automated pharmacy equipment through preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated systems, including motors, motor controllers, drives, power supplies, conveyors, vision systems, and related equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Complete equipment modifications, upgrades, and optimization efforts that improve system performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment health through inspections, diagnostics, and performance analysis to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational goals, share technical expertise, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and complete required training to support compliance, safety, and ongoing skill development.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or automation maintenance experience; OR
  • Associate degree and at least 2 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or automation maintenance experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including the use of testing and measurement equipment such as multimeters.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing motors, motor controllers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and pneumatic systems, including equipment setup, adjustment, and tuning.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage maintenance activities and work orders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates and business partners.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining automated material handling, conveyor, vision, or robotics systems.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other FDA-regulated production environments.
  • Experience performing equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of spare parts management and inventory support processes.
  • Exposure to MAXIMO or other enterprise CMMS platforms.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
