Job Description
The Electrical Pre-Comm Tech II supports Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities to ensure material handling systems are fully tested and ready for final controls of integration. Working closely with Electrical Installers and Controls Engineers, the role is responsible for system validation, I/O checkout, PLC testing, and resolving problems with controls and network components at customer sites across North America. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience working on complex automated systems in a fast-paced installation environment.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $44,000 - $60,500 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
Work closely with electrical installers and Controls Engineers to implement and validate simple to highly sophisticated material handling systems at customer sites throughout North America.
Load emulated PLC programs and complete static functional testing according to received Description of Operation and drawing documentation for customer material handling systems.
Complete I/O and device level checkout and validation.
Identify and resolve component problems, such as PLC, field devices, network repeaters, etc.
Test, validate, and fix various communications and control networks, such as Ethernet IP, Device Net, Control Net, Profi-bus, ASI and CAN.
Turn over validated subsystems to the Controls Engineering group with appropriate validation checklists.
Provide daily and weekly progress reports of accomplished tasks and exceptions.

Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and documentation
Ability to use and complete model-specific inspection and validation checklists
Capable of generating and maintaining action item lists based on inspection results
Reliable transportation to and from job sites anywhere in the U.S.
Ability to acquire OSHA 10 certification upon hire
Basic digital literacy, , including email, spreadsheet entry, and report input
Valid driver's license
