Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to oversee commercial and residential electrical projects from preconstruction through completion. This role combines estimating, scheduling, and hands-on project management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The position works closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate all phases of electrical construction. This is a strong fit for someone who can manage both the numbers and the execution of electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate electrical estimates, budgets, and bid proposals based on plans and specifications
- Review project drawings, scopes, and specifications to ensure complete and accurate pricing
- Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, including scheduling, coordination, and execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project progress
- Oversee on-site activities, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project plans
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle
- Track project costs, forecasts, and budgets to ensure financial performance
- Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and field teams regarding project status and updates
- Resolve field issues and proactively identify risks to maintain project momentum
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical project management and estimating
- Experience with commercial and/or residential electrical construction projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience preparing detailed estimates, takeoffs, and project budgets
- Knowledge of scheduling tools and project management software
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and construction practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Electrical license or relevant certifications preferred
