Job Description
is a leading electrical power system manufacturer located in the Beckley, West Virginia area. We are currently hiring an Electrical Sales Engineer to prepare, review and deliver technical proposals, quotations that align with customer requirements. Typical Equipment quotes consist of Medium Voltage Metal Enclosed Switchgear; High and Medium Voltage Substations consisting of Skid Mounted, Unitized and Modular types; Medium Voltage Metal Enclosed Capacitor and Filter Banks, and other customized Metal Enclosed Electrical products. The following are functions that are needed to be successful for this position: (1) Understanding of Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment and systems (Switchgear, relaying etc.) along with Electrical Power applications. (2) Experience in technical sales ideally in Electrical Equipment Manufacturing or Distribution. (3) Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Degree or related technical field. (4) Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, ability to handle stress and ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards. (5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (6) Analytical and problem-solving skills to provide technical solutions to exact customer requirements. (7) Attending meetings with customers related to technical quotations and ongoing jobs. (8) Ability to work with internal and external sales and engineering teams while maintaining induvial accountability. (9) Ability to create bill of materials to set selling prices using excel with only schematics, one-line diagrams and customer specifications. Job Responsibilities: Prepare, review and deliver technical proposals and quotations per exact customer requirements. Work closely with internal engineering, sales engineers and outside sales teams. Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to meet client expectations and company goals. Provide technical sales support to outside sales personnel and clients. Maintain records regarding client feedback and opportunities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Access and Outlook) at minimum. Being able to use latest version of Autocad is a plus and to produce concept drawings for products related to quotations is a plus. Engage in remote support and virtual meetings and or presentations depending on requirements and client needs.
