Job Description
Title: Electrical Supervisor Location: Bath, PA Schedule: 6AM-3PM - rotating on call schedule Type: Full Time Direct Hire role We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the electrical department of a heavy industrial facility. This individual will lead a team of union electricians, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and provide technical guidance to maintain reliable and efficient plant operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing policies, leading safety discussions, conducting job-specific training, and addressing unsafe conditions. Perform investigations and corrective actions when needed.
Oversee electrical maintenance and automation systems to support uninterrupted production and optimal equipment performance.
Conduct routine inspections of essential plant equipment and proactively address reliability concerns.
Leverage maintenance data and equipment performance history to reduce downtime and improve cost effectiveness.
Source and procure necessary parts and materials for maintenance activities and projects outside of stocked inventory.
Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, manage crew scheduling, and maintain accurate labor tracking for budgeting purposes.
Collaborate with plant leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term maintenance planning.
Support the coordination and execution of plant shutdowns, major repairs, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
Identify improvement opportunities, recommend capital investments, and assist in developing cost estimates for larger projects.
Provide regular updates and reporting on equipment condition and departmental activities.
Ensure adherence to labor agreements and company standards while effectively managing performance, accountability, and employee relations matters.
Mentor and develop team members by identifying skill gaps, facilitating technical training, and fostering continuous improvement within the department.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related technical discipline preferred.
At least three years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong background in industrial electrical systems and plant equipment.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-driven setting.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to access all areas of the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders and working at heights.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection when necessary.
Comfortable working in environments that may include dust, noise, high temperatures, and changing weather conditions.
