YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Electrical VDC Managerisresponsibleforthemanagement&productionofthebuildingelectricalBIMmodels and field/shop drawings, the BIM content for the building electrical systems, and the BIM coordination process.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Overseetheprocessofvirtualconstructionanddesigndocumentation.
Manageateamofmodelersandcoordinatorsbycoaching,mentoring,andsupervising.
EnsurecompliancewithCorporateBIMProgramandProcesses.
Coordinatewithprofessionalstaffonreviewingmodelsandcomments.
Developelectricalbuildingmodelsfrombasicsketches,2Ddrawingsandverbalinstructions,utilizing Revit MEP/AutoCAD MEP tools.
ResolveconflictswithotherdisciplinesandtradesusingNavisWorkswhileadheringandimproving primary electrical system design.
Producedrawings/modelsconsistentwithinstruction,guidelines,andCAD/BIMstandards.
ModifyincomingCAD/BIMfilesforuseindesign/detailingprocess(clean-up,audit,referenceand troubleshoot).
Prepare3DelectricalsystemlayoutsfortheUndergroundCoordinationandAbovetheCeiling Coordination.
Prepare3Dseismicsupportmodelforallelectricalsystems.
ProduceMEPCoordinationDrawingsandElectricalShopDrawingsextractingdatadirectlyfromthe 3D electrical model.
AttendandactivelyparticipateincoordinationmeetingswithotherMEP trades.
UtilizeCADSchedulingandTakeoffsforpre-fabrication.
UsetheRevitfamilyeditor/AutoCADContentManagertobuildBIMcontentforelectricalsystem components as needed.
Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position’s role within the business unit.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Bachelor’sdegreeinEngineeringorrelated field
Minimum2years’relevantworkexperiencewithanarchitecture/engineeringconsultingfirmor contractor
MechanicalPEpreferred
Canbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevant experience
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Completeunderstandingoftheelectricalconstructionbusiness
ProficientinREVITArchitecture/MEP2010andlater,aswellasAutoCAD2D/3D(Havingjusttraining in the REVIT application will not be sufficient knowledge and experience for job requirements)
Workwithinprojectdeadlines
ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.);Oraclepreferred

WORKINGCONDITIONS:
Generalworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Occasionalliftingofupto30lbs.
