Job Description
We are accepting applications for an Electrician, who will be responsible for all electrical repair not covered by area maintenance crews. Individual reports to the Facilities Supervisor, within Maintenance and Engineering. We require a high school diploma or equivalency, or more than five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works on in-house high voltage problems that may be encountered
- Performs preventative maintenance of office and outside lights
- Maintains plant electrical numbering system
- Wires new plant equipment
- Assists area maintenance with repairs as needed
- Assists with other Facilities jobs when required
- Follows job work instructions and training matrix, where applicable
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; is consistently at work and on time; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; uses time efficiently; observes safety and security procedures. Basic mathematical ability, up to and including use of common fractions and decimals, and ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate in offices and loud in the Production Facility. Our Production buildings are not climate controlled. Temperatures reach 100 degrees inside the facility on many summer days and drop well below 40 degrees in the winter. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
