Deckorators, a brand of UFP Industries, is a leader in composite decking, railing, and outdoor living products. Our Buffalo, New York facility is the newest and flagship location utilizing our proven and growing Surestone technology. This state-of-the-art extrusion and polymer manufacturing facility relies on skilled electrical and controls professionals to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Job Summary
The Electrician / Electronics Technician is responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment throughout the facility. This role supports production and maintenance teams by ensuring electrical systems, controls, and equipment operate safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Troubleshoot and repair machinery, transfer systems, and hand tools using diagrams, manuals, and specifications
Perform regular preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment and facility systems
Complete equipment set-ups, tune-ups, and operational checks as required
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities
Follow all safety rules, electrical codes, and company procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Participate in safety, Continuous Improvement (CI), and team meetings
Follow hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures when applicable
Prepare reports and documentation as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, electronics, or industrial controls
Working knowledge of electronic test equipment
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control systems
Experience with AC/DC voltage, drives, control wiring, and PLC controls
Understanding of safe equipment practices and applicable laws and regulations
Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation & Benefit Information
Salary Pay Range: $30.00-$41.00 per hour dependent on experience*
- pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
Bonus/Incentive Pay:
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
