Job Summary
The Electro/Mechanical Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. This role follows established methods and sequences for wiring, component installation, soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting while supporting production, rework, and quality testing activities.
This position works under close supervision, receiving detailed instructions on routine assignments. The assembler supports production requirements while learning company procedures, policies, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times.
  • Meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Organize and verify components prior to completing assembly operations.
  • Assemble basic sub-assemblies and final assemblies following applicable procedures and documentation.
  • Execute basic soldering operations per IPC standards.
  • Read and interpret basic schematics and blueprints.
  • Utilize mechanical tools, electrical tools, measurement devices, soldering equipment, crimpers, and hand tools.
  • Complete required quality and assembly documentation in alignment with quality management system requirements.
  • Meet standard production cycle times.
  • Apply basic working knowledge of test equipment within the Operations area.
  • Report non-conformances and complete NCE documentation as appropriate.
  • Participate in root cause investigations using basic troubleshooting tools.
  • Maintain and execute 5S within the work area.
  • Conduct inventory transactions and process work orders using Oracle.
  • Retrieve documentation using Oracle and Agile systems.
  • Maintain punctual attendance and adhere to production schedules, including overtime when required.
Required Experience
  • High School Diploma (H.S./GED) required.
  • No prior experience required (0–1 years preferred).
  • Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or Agile Product Lifecycle Management systems.
  • IPC 610 / 620 Certification.
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling best practices.

Physical Requirements
  • Sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Safety shoes with impact and compression protection required in designated areas.
  • Ability to work in clean room, controlled environments, or dark rooms.
