Shift: Monday- Friday / 11:00pm- 7:30pm

Start Pay Range: $28.50

Objectives/Purpose of the Job:

The job functions and responsibilities include providing electro-mechanical support for production equipment (compounding, filling, packaging). The EMT team is dedicated to sustaining production moving with minimal downtime by troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues. This includes resolving mechanical and electrical problems and performing scheduled maintenance on equipment. This position entails working as a member of a team to perform and document troubleshooting activities, repairs, and preventative maintenance of high-speed manufacturing equipment. Other aspects may include project work, offline rebuild work, as well as routine maintenance support. This position requires three to five years as an EM Technician II or equivalent experience. Specialize in automation system upgrades and repairs to PLC/controllers. SME for electromechanical equipment.

Key Activities/Responsibilities/Job Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and document production equipment issues. Includes PLC programming (Siemens and AB) and HMI control systems.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for equipment design and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Meets and maintains all required training during the year (SOP, EHS, and HR).
  • Provides training to EMT1 and EMT2 associates.
  • Liaison with Engineering for new equipment.
  • Position is part of "on-call" support staff (24/7).
  • Off-site training and engineering support may be required including international travel.
  • Support operational excellence and EHS initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for the GMP, ISO, EHS awareness and compliance within the respective area.
  • Attend and participate in OpEx improvement initiatives such as reducing costs and OEE improvements.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Internal Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Aseptic Gowning
  • Spare Parts/PM
  • Automation Network
  • Train the Trainer (as applicable)

Qualifications /Training:

  • High School diploma required; AA/AS or technical degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years pharmaceutical/FDA regulated environment.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical and PLC experience required.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Able to work quickly and under pressure.
  • Good documentation, computer, and math skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and quality conscious.
  • Good team oriented and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work different shifts/weekends as needed to maintain the production schedule.
