Electronic Assembler (2Nd Shift)

The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Assembler to join a growing electronic systems manufacturing team in Austin, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering stable hours, competitive pay, and long-term career potential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assembling electronic components, following detailed work instructions, and performing precision mechanical and soldering operations.Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and circuit boards according to specifications and work instructions*
• Perform surface mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering
• Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and defect criteria
• Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and X-Ray inspection systems to detect defects such as:*
  • Shorts* *
  • Opens* *
  • Misalignments*
• Capture and analyze inspection images to identify quality issues*
• Perform manual rework and repair, including cleaning shorts and correcting assembly defects*
• Collaborate with team members to resolve assembly issues and improve processes*
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED*
• 2+ years of work experience or equivalent experience*
• Knowledge of quality standards, inspection protocols, and defect criteria*
• Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering*
• Ability to perform manual electronic rework and repair*
• Strong team collaboration skills*
• Willingness to participate in continuous learning and training

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 Certification
• IPC-J-STD-001 Certification
• 2+ years of electronic assembly experience
• Experience working with:*
  • AOI (Automated Optical Inspection)
  • X-Ray inspection systems
  • SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and electronic documentation systems

Pay Rate: Up to $22.68 per hour
