Job Description
The Electrical Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and support of advanced infrared camera systems. This position involves creating electronic interfaces for high‑performance digital and analog video, supporting new and existing products, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional engineering teams. The role requires strong technical depth, problem‑solving ability, and the capability to take designs from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
Research, Design & Development — Design, develop, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic systems and components for infrared camera products. Provide senior‑level engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
Camera System Electronics — Design electronic interfaces that enable high‑quality digital and analog video output from state‑of‑the‑art Infrared Focal Plane Arrays.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work closely with Systems, Software, Firmware, Mechanical, and PCB Layout teams to refine requirements, define interfaces, and ensure cohesive system integration.
Design Reviews & System Trades — Perform hardware/software system trade studies. Prepare and present design reviews to internal teams and customers.
Electronics Design — Develop low‑noise power systems, ADC circuits, communication interfaces, and video output electronics across multiple formats.
Product Development Support — Partner with Project and Program Managers to define schedules and support manufacturing with test and assembly processes.
Packaging & Compliance — Consider electronics packaging, power/thermal constraints, compliance testing, and end‑of‑life forecasting during product design.
Verification & Testing — Create verification plans, generate test stimuli, execute tests, and debug issues during integration and production phases.
Documentation & Release — Produce and maintain complete design documentation in accordance with internal procedures. Support manufacturing and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Manufacturing Support — Serve as a liaison between Design Engineering and Camera Manufacturing to resolve design or production issues. Develop test and troubleshooting hardware as needed.
Customer Support — Assist Client Services with technical questions related to camera products.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in a similar engineering environment.
Demonstrated experience taking products from concept through production.
Strong background in electronics design, system integration, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with hardware design tools and test equipment.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the infrared or imaging industry.
Familiarity with IC design support.
Background working with cross‑functional and international engineering teams.
Experience in manufacturing environments and transitioning designs to production.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and take initiative.
Salary Range:
$113,600.00-$151,400.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
