Job Description
Pay: $20-$22 (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 7am-3pm Monday-Friday
Job Summary: Designs, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discusses layout and assembly problems with Engineers and draws sketches to clarify design details.
- Assembles experimental circuitry or complete prototype model.
- Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Sets up standard test apparatus to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype.
- Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
- Writes technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe system's operating characteristics.
- Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment is in working order.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree in electronic technology preferred
Experience:
- Must be able to read blueprints and use schematics
- Must be able to use digital multimeters (DMMS), oscilloscopes, volt-ohm meter, and soldering equipment
- May be required to use various hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, screw drivers, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
- May be required to sit for 3–4-hour intervals
