Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineering Associate Manager where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Courtland AL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

  • You enjoy championing engineering rigor and product development process compliance throughout the product lifecycle. You bring innovative ideas that influence the broader engineering tenets while aligning activities for efficient and successful engineering methodology. You champion organizational change across the portfolio and optimize how the product lines operate.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

  • Generation of executable plans, coordination of teams, establishment of team goals and objectives that align with the customer and leadership intentions. Success is measured by the ability to plan, schedule and execute within the constraints of a highly complex environment.
  • The role requires high level of coordination with the Vehicle Systems and Integration Teams.
  • Assure appropriate test, integration standards and processes are defined and followed.
  • Deliver EGSE in a timely fashion in support of program needs.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience executing and leading (either technically or functionally) Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) teams.
  • 5+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be willing to travel to other Lockheed sites.

Manages the research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from accredited college/university in quality management, engineering, management or similar field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Prior technical experience within Systems or Hardware, and/or Software Engineering
  • Quality management leader experience
  • Experience handling multiple priorities and meeting set deadlines
  • Understanding Systems Engineering fundamentals, lifecycle, and work products

Desired Skills

  • Program execution in the functional areas of Mechanical, Electrical, or Software/Firmware
  • Integrating analysis tools via Model Center
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the proven track record to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
  • Prior customer engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
