THE OPPORTUNITYSilvus is seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer (Web Interface Developer) reporting to the Director of Software Engineering on the Software Engineering team.  The successful individual in this role will participate in the development of Silvus’ MANET radios and advanced research projects.  This position is on a hybrid schedule, a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.
  •    Develop, maintain, improve and test Silvus StreamCaster radio’s web interface and network management software.Develop applications running on the Silvus StreamCaster radios.
  •    Travel requirement: rare local travel, as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  •    Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and Python backend development.Experience in mobile friendly web interface development.PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  •    Experience in UI test automation.Experience with C programming.

    COMPENSATION

    The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

    CA Pay Range

    $43.27 - $57USD
