Emblem Machine Operators are responsible for applying emblems (such as patches or logos) to garments and apparel using the emblem machine(s).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Set up the machine to include the threading of needles and bobbins
- Control and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain high-quality performance
- Position garments and patches in the correct placement on the machine
- Test the machine periodically and perform basic maintenance, including cleaning and replacing needles and bobbins
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws, and ensure the finished garment conforms to the pick ticket instructions
- Follow standard operating procedures to achieve productivity and quality standards
- Cross-train and work in other areas within Production/Warehouse as needed
- Management reserves the right to assign other duties as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience as a machine operator and familiarity with sewing are preferred
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment with accuracy
- Experience working with regular keyboard functions
- Working knowledge of high-speed machinery
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Ability to read a work instruction document (WID) in English
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength for standing for the entire shift and performing necessary movements to operate the machine
- Ability to work OT during the week and weekend as needed
- A high school diploma or equivalent technical degree is a plus
