Job Description
The Emergency Department Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24-hour management of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care that meets established standards. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight to maintain efficient and effective emergency services. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department (ED).
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff.
- Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient care outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
- Maintain regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Requirements:
- Active RN license.
- BSN required (master's in nursing or related field preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of acute care Emergency Room experience.
- Proven leadership experience ( charge nurse, supervisor, or manager ).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
