Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an essential member of the patient care team and is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process.
The RN will assess patients upon admission, obtain medical histories, evaluate current medical conditions, monitor vital signs and diagnostic results, and participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Obtain and document medical history, vital signs, laboratory results, X-rays, and other diagnostic information.
- Administer medications safely and accurately.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
- Provide compassionate care while respecting each patient's culture, lifestyle, religion, and age.
- Accept constructive feedback and maintain a professional, positive approach.
- Perform all essential job functions required for the position.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
- Current, active New Hampshire RN License required or must be eligible to obtain one.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
- BLS/BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- CPI certification required.
- Emergency Room/ER experience preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Local Candidates
Local candidates are accepted. Local candidates will receive a lower local hourly rate.
