Position Snapshot

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll step into a role where your expertise truly matters. You'll be the go-to partner for leaders and employees, helping them navigate sensitive situations with confidence, fairness, and clarity. Your work will center on employee relations, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, corrective-action guidance, and leader coaching-making you a key voice in shaping a consistent and positive employee experience across the organization.

You'll have the opportunity to influence culture, strengthen compliance, and reduce organizational risk while building trusted relationships at every level. Beyond day-to-day ER support, you'll also contribute to M&A activities, special projects, onboarding, policy administration, and broader HR initiatives. This is a role where your judgment, communication skills, and ability to build trust will have a meaningful impact on how people experience their workplace.

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment and bring at least three years of hands-on employee relations experience. You are a service-oriented self-starter who stays current on HR law, investigation standards, and ER best practices. You are skilled at navigating complex employment issues, conducting impartial investigations, documenting findings, and advising leaders on corrective action. You communicate with clarity, discretion, and confidence-keeping stakeholders informed, aligned, and engaged.

How You Will Make a Difference

Employee Relations & Advisory Support

  • Provide guidance and interpretation of company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Counsel leaders and employees on sensitive ER matters, ensuring consistent, fair, and compliant application.
  • Lead and document workplace investigations involving employee concerns, conduct issues, complaints, and policy violations.
  • Partner with leaders on performance concerns, corrective action, conflict resolution, and communication strategies.
  • Identify ER trends and recommend proactive solutions that reduce risk and strengthen workplace culture.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support Affirmative Action, EEO reporting, audit readiness, and timely responses to employment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate ER files, investigation records, employee data, and HR documentation.
  • Partner with leadership and HR partners to assess risk, escalate concerns appropriately, and support consistent resolution of employment matters.

Training & Program Implementation

  • Support and coordinate training related to employee relations, investigations, and policy compliance.
  • Assist in implementing HR programs, policies, and process improvements.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve HR issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in special projects, meetings, and organizational initiatives, including ER & M&A related projects.
  • Serve as a high-touch resource for employees and leaders, ensuring a consistent and service-driven experience.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, ER practices, investigation processes, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, documenting findings, and advising on corrective action.
  • Experience supporting ER case management, HR program administration, and policy interpretation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing multi-state healthcare organization including the Pacific Northwest, Arizona, and California, while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, de-escalate conflict, and build relationships.
