Position: Employment Law Associate (Public Sector)
Location: Concord, CA (Flexible: Remote, Hybrid, or On-Site)
Billable Target: 1,800 Hours/Year

They are seeking a driven, client-focused Employment Law Associate to advise and represent public entities that keep California communities running.

Key Responsibilities
Provide counsel on leaves (FMLA/CFRA), wage/hour compliance, and disciplinary issues.
Direct sensitive workplace investigations.
Handle administrative hearings and defend against FEHA/Title VII claims.
Draft personnel handbooks, custom policies, and employment agreements.
Qualifications
Bar Admission: Active California State Bar license in good standing.
Experience: 2+ years practicing employment law.
Public Sector Background: Prior experience with PERB, the Brown Act, or the California Government Code is highly preferred.
Skills: Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently with strong strategic judgment.
