With offices in Hilo and Kona, and our Learning Center in Kona, Full Life is a trusted provider and a close-knit team of over 100 dedicated professionals. We're growing and looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join us.

Position: Employment Support

As an Employment Support Specialist, you'll provide hands-on job coaching and ongoing support to individuals with disabilities, helping them succeed in their workplace roles and grow toward long-term independence.

What You'll Do

  • Provide on-the-job training and support aligned with employer expectations for quality, productivity, and professionalism

  • Build positive relationships with employers, supervisors, and coworkers to support workplace inclusion

  • Advocate for participants while encouraging self-advocacy and independence

  • Develop strategies that support long-term success and job retention

  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and billable hours

  • Assist with employment readiness, including resumes, interview prep, and travel training

  • Coordinate services with families, employers, state agencies, and other providers

  • Provide transportation to work sites as needed

  • Maintain flexible scheduling to meet participant needs, including evenings and weekends

Training & Certification

  • Complete ACRE certification or state-approved job coach training within 6 months

  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain skills and best practices

  • No prior experience required - we provide comprehensive training and mentorship

Pay, Benefits & Perks

  • Starting Pay: $23.00/hr (full-time & part-time)

  • Training Pay: $18.00/hr

  • Bonus Incentive: $300 after 90 days + $300 after ACRE certification ($600 total)

  • Health Benefits: Medical insurance or $200/month stipend

  • Paid Time Off: For full-time employees

  • Retirement: 3% 401(k) match after 90 days

  • Extras: Cell phone stipend & mileage reimbursement

  • Student Loan Assistance: $50/month

  • Referral Bonuses: Up to $500 for you and your referral

  • Performance-based bonuses when organizational goals are met

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma/GED or ability to demonstrate key skills.
  • CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
  • Tuberculosis clearance (we'll help you with this)
