Responsibilities

• Operate endoscopy equipment and assist during procedures with accuracy and safety.

• Adhere to procedural protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Escalate safety incidents or equipment malfunctions promptly following protocol.

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and patient readiness.

• Monitor and document procedure details, outcomes, and any deviations.

• Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient flow and throughput.

• Support performance metrics by tracking activity, utilization, and throughput targets.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue certification/skill advancement.

• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and contribute ideas.

• Demonstrate strong bedside manner and patient communication during procedures.

• Maintain supply inventory and ensure readiness of endoscopy suite for daily schedules.

Experience/Qualifications

• Certified Endoscopy Technician with current credentialing

• Proficient in operating endoscopy systems and sterile technique

• Adherence to safety, regulatory, and infection control standards

• Accurate documentation of procedures, outcomes, and deviations

• Ability to maintain sterile fields and prepare instruments for procedures

• Strong bedside manner and patient communication during procedures

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and skill advancement

• Batching and tracking activity to support throughput and performance metrics

• Inventory management and readiness of endoscopy suite

• Team collaboration with physicians and staff to optimize workflow
