Job Description:
Work Location: Office of Facilities Planning, Efferson Hall, Baton Rouge, LA
Position Description: This position manages projects, organizes, coordinates, and directs (withsupervision) multiple construction projects including regular site inspections and detailed observation reports. Ensure timely and effective communication with the project team (designers, supervisor, etc.). Coordinate with Station/Resident Coordinator on work to be performed and address project issues, including state regulations and construction compliance. Coordinate projects, work with Resident Coordinator on outlining scope, obtaining quotes, and present to Director or designer for review and approval. Provide preliminary engineering design and support for civil/agricultural related projects including laboratory/office buildings, agricultural research support facilities, streets, parking, traffic, sidewalks, irrigation and drainage, land development, utility systems, etc. for P.E. review as needed. Maintain and update project database, coordinate, develop and execute addenda, change orders, pay applications, time extension, etc. Additional duties may include involvement in initial project investigation, project estimation, design and plan development (with supervision) utilizing AutoCAD to aid team in developing, organizing and producing detailed plans and specifications for construction, renovation and maintenance projects. Statewide travel and occasional overnight stays are required.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Facilities Planning.
Qualification Requirements: Minimum qualifications include Bachelor's Degree in Project/Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture. Other degrees may qualify if combined with significant closely related course work or related job experience. Minimum of three years of project management related experience required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications: Experience involving facility administration/management, construction management, and procurement.
Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options. Benefits offered include retirement, multiple medical

The LSU AgCenter, is one of eight campuses within the broader LSU enterprise (LSU System). The LSU AgCenter includes the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station, which conducts agricultural-based research, and the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, which extends the knowledge derived from research to the people of the state.
