- Video Management Systems (VMS) Engineer Alexandria, VA Pay From: $43.00 MUST Experienced Video Management Systems (VMS) Engineer Active Secret Clearance 4+ Years of experience supporting enterprise VMS or physical security systems 2+ Years of experience troubleshooting across IP networking, Windows Server, and storage systems Strong understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265) and system performance tuning Experience supporting distributed or high-availability environments DUTIES: Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex VMS incidents and major outages Perform deep troubleshooting across application, server, storage, and network layers Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and document corrective/preventative actions Lead incident bridge calls during critical security-impacting events Administer enterprise VMS platforms such as Genetec Security Center and Surveill Optimize recording policies and profiles, failover configurations, and storage performance Conduct system health audits and capacity planning Troubleshoot Windows Server environments supporting VMS applications Analyze network performance issues (VLANs, multicast, bandwidth constraints) Support storage troubleshooting and performance tuning Support VMS testing integrated with analytics Develop and maintain technical SOPs and user guides Work with Tier 2 engineers Perform software upgrades and patching Progression Inc. is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
