Job Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Quality Engineer 3 in Huntsville, Alabama for a contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite, full-time position supports software quality through inspection, testing, verification, validation, and compliance activities. The role also supports hardware integration, configuration management, and internal process compliance audits.
Required Skills
- Experience developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining software quality standards, processes, systems, and procedures
- Experience conducting software inspection, testing, verification, and validation
- Experience implementing software development and maintenance processes and methods
- Experience ensuring software quality measures meet acceptable reliability standards
- Experience developing operating criteria for software quality programs
- Ability to ensure project and process control documentation complies with requirements, objectives, and contract requirements
- Experience reviewing software designs, change specifications, and plans against contractual or process requirements
- Experience verifying software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability
- U.S. citizenship required
- Secret security clearance required
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures
- Conduct software inspection, testing, verification, and validation
- Ensure implementation of software quality programs according to project, process, and contract requirements
- Review applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Verify hardware in accordance with applicable Technical Data Packages (TDP)
- Verify connections according to applicable Interface Control Documents (ICD)
- Verify remove-and-replace activities of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) that impact system configuration
- Verify Operating Infrastructure Versions (OIV), Fire Control Network (FCN), hardware, IBCS application software, system name and location, and hard drive Document Control Numbers (DCNs)
- Support hardware integration activities and events
- Assist Configuration Management with configuration status accounting of labs
- Support internal process compliance audits

Full-time, 9/80A schedule. This is an onsite position.
