Job Description:	Job Description Flight Simulator Hardware Engineer Air & Commercial Solutions (Client) Program The WorkThe hired engineer will be a Hardware Engineering on a development team that delivers a FAA Level D Full Flight Simulator for our customer. Primary responsibilities include: " Complete hardware design and development activities for power and control systems, motion platform integration, visual display systems, avionics interfaces, and ancillary equipment. " Manage end to end integration of the new simulator hardware with the existing building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical distribution, grounding, and fire and smoke monitoring systems. " Lead other Hardware Engineers that synchronizes engineering, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure design is completed as scheduled. Develop innovative solutions to a range of complex problems that are consistent with the program objectives. Basic Qualifications (BQs):Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fieldExperience in developing flight simulation hardware solutions on programs.Active development of new mechanical design engineering principles and full demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and related disciplinesIssuing formal design checking approvals or non-conformance reports through the PLM tool.Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articlesDeveloping and generating HW architectural layouts for system and lower level interfaces between systems and subsystemsDeriving Hardware and sub tier requirements from customer requirementsBuilding BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentationDemonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams through major technical reviews throughout the acquisition lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)Experience applying Hardware Engineering processes in an Agile environment.Desired Skills:Experience with Windchill, Creo, Windchill and/or Catia, Zuken and Cameo. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and demonstrated perform complex system-level tolerance analysis. Knowledge of generating hardware architecture, high level interconnects, and deriving requirements from customer and system level flow downs. Prior experience in the development, integration, and deployment of flight training systems. Leveraged Agile tenets in the execution of the development of software intensive systems, inclusive of driving development of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware, and Test Engineering work products. Experience adapting hardware designs to existing climate control systems, ensuring temperature/humidity stability for avionics and motion platforms.Experience interfacing with the facility's existing fire detection and suppression infrastructureProduct design experience in the context of modular open systems architectures (e.g. SOA). Experience with Rotary and/or Fixed Wing Aircraft Experience with full motion simulators.
Comments for Suppliers:	Candidates must be US citizens and be able to obtain a clearance upon conversion to LM FTE. They will be required to work on site in Orlando 1/2 the week.
