Summary: As an Engineering Intern for the CRX Power division, you will apply your academic knowledge and emerging technical skills to support the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of our products. This role serves as a support function where you will work on projects and matters of limited complexity under close management. You will gain exposure to various engineering disciplines, assisting with coding, debugging, mechanical design, electrical systems, and quality assurance to ensure product specifications and timelines are met. Duties / Responsibilities: Assists in the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products or software applications in a support role. Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application or embedded system development process. Utilizes CAD software to create or modify 3D models and details drawings for manufacturing and assembly. Supports the analysis and maintenance of mechanical or electrical components to meet specified requirements and standards. Builds prototypes and assists in conducting feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Collects and analyzes data to support improvements in reliability, safety, and performance of systems. Assists in planning and designing manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, including analyzing equipment layout and workflow. Conducts inspections and supports quality assurance testing models for raw materials and finished products. Provides technical support to sales teams by reviewing specifications and assisting with product presentations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, manufacturing) to ensure project milestones are met according to established timelines. Completes other tasks assigned by management. Required Skills / Abilities: Basic proficiency with engineering tools relevant to the discipline (e.g., SolidWorks/CAD, C/C++, Circuit Design software). Understanding of fundamental engineering and mathematical principles (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or related). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work primarily in a support role on projects of limited complexity. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline problem-solving and various tasks is a plus. Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Coursework or project experience related to the specific engineering discipline is preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: This role requires more than moderate amounts of sitting, walking, and standing. Extended periods of time may be spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone. Extended periods of time may be spent in a shop environment, using hand tools and power tools. Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with flexibility depending on academic schedule. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
