Role Summary
This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to own and lead a meaningful project from the ground up, working directly with Sanimax employees, external partners, and fellow interns across multiple locations.
While the role is not strictly process engineering-focused, a mechanical or engineering background is strongly preferred. Candidates with a project management mindset, strong analytical skills, and mechanical curiosity will thrive in this role. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to industrial manufacturing environments while developing real-world project leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Ownership & Execution
- Lead a defined project from initial concept through analysis, coordination, and final recommendation.
- Develop project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria.
- Track progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Present findings, recommendations, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams at the assigned site.
- Collaborate regularly with interns at other Sanimax locations to align approaches and contribute to a shared final solution.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as required.
Analytical & Technical Contribution
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational and project-related data.
- Perform basic technical or mechanical evaluations to support decision-making.
- Identify improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving and data analysis.
- Support equipment, process, or system evaluations as applicable to the project.
Field Engagement & Learning
- Spend time in manufacturing environments to understand equipment, workflows, and operational constraints.
- Participate in site walkdowns, meetings, and project reviews.
- Gain exposure to industrial project execution, safety considerations, and operational excellence practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Project Management
- Or a related technical discipline
Preferred Profile
- Strong interest in project management within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Mechanical aptitude or engineering mindset, even if not pursuing a traditional process engineering role.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic analytical tools.
- Interest in fieldwork and hands-on learning.
