Engineering Lead

The Engineering Lead will lead the market's design and engineering teams with advanced degrees of responsibilities utilizing a fully developed knowledgebase of civil engineering practice in support of linear fiber utility design projects. Project work will focus on design of aerial and underground fiber optic network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Technical engineering management and oversight of the production team.
• Developing conceptual designs and performing detailed QA/QC. Right of Way/Records Research, Utility Conflict Analysis.
• Direct project support will be required via interactions with internal stakeholders to communicate a clear understanding of project scope, work assignments, project reporting, and timeliness of deliverables.
• Maintain an understanding of the entire fiber design project cycle with an in-depth comprehension of civil and fiber engineering standards and requirements.
• Training and mentoring junior engineers and designers

Qualification:

• BS. civil engineering or engineering technology required; advanced degree preferred
• PE required, or 7+ years of utilities or fiber engineering and/or management experience with strong technical knowledge
• NCEES active record with multiple state PE licenses preferred
• Professional knowledge of principles of engineering and engineering design, including transportation, civil (grading and site analysis), geotechnical, and aerial make ready
• Excellent budgeting and cost management abilities, including forecasting and the ability to complete assignments operating within a strict budget
• Proven ability to responsibly delegate project assignments
• Proven ability to lead multiple assignments, including multiple separate project teams
• Detail-oriented and possess strong follow-through skills
• Ability to create and maintain positive working relationships and enhance the image of the company
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally
