Engineering Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a seasoned leader to join our advancing aerospace production team as the Head of Engineering. The role is pivotal in steering engineering functions related to specialized processes such as thermal spraying, chemical processing, and innovative coatings in a tightly regulated sector. The selected veteran will drive advancements in process enhancements, cultivate strict adherence to compliance standards, and contribute to the expansion of business capabilities.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing a dedicated team of professionals across manufacturing, process engineering, and quality assurance, establishing clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. The role demands hands-on involvement in engineering initiatives to enhance production efficacy, quality standards, and timely delivery. Collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain units to tackle technical hurdles is vital.

In compliance, the role requires ensuring alignment with crucial standards such as Nadcap, ISO 9001, and AS9100, further supporting audit operations internally and externally. Championing continuous improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, the individual will spearhead capital projects within new equipment, automation, and process enhancement arenas to align with organizational objectives.

Exceptional communication and leadership prowess, with at least a decade of engineering experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing, a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, and a robust operational background in thermal spray and chemical processes are required.
