Overview

As the Engineering Manager for our Android team, you'll lead a talented group of engineers building and continuously improving our Android apps. You'll be accountable for delivery, quality, and technical direction across the mobile stack, while partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, iOS, and Backend to ship polished, customer-facing experiences. What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow a team of Android engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development support to help individuals thrive and advance in their roles

  • Define and drive the team's technical roadmap in partnership with product managers and other cross-functional leaders, aligning engineering efforts with business priorities

  • Oversee the architecture and delivery of our mobile applications, ensuring mobile solutions are performant, reliable, secure, and aligned with long-term product and platform goals.

  • Promote operational excellence and engineering best practices, with a strong focus on reliability, observability, and code quality

  • Hire and onboard Android engineers, helping scale a diverse, high-performing team while maintaining a strong bar for talent and culture

  • Manage and continuously improve team processes, leading sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives to drive effective collaboration and timely delivery

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing mobile engineering teams of 5 or more

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping native Android applications in production

  • Experience building and operating mission-critical mobile applications at scale, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and release safety

  • Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex projects

  • Experienced in mentoring future leaders and growing talent

  • Fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, and urgency

  • Familiar with incident management and on-call operations

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with a bias for action

  • Solid understanding of security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total compensation and rewards package at Credit Genie. You may also be eligible to participate in the bonus and equity programs.
