Location: Reading, PA Salary: $125,000.00 USD Annually - $130,000.00 USD Annually Description: Engineering Manager Job Description We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee facility-wide engineering operations. This role focuses on optimizing plant performance, managing high-level infrastructure investments, and leading a multi-disciplinary technical team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Core Responsibilities Strategic Capital Management: Lead the lifecycle of facility capital projects, from long-term planning and budgeting to final execution and delivery. Team Leadership: Direct internal engineering departments, ensuring resource allocation aligns with operational goals and safety standards. Operational Excellence: Partner with cross-functional leads (Quality, Maintenance, and Production) to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, and enhance equipment reliability. Contractor Oversight: Manage external vendors and specialized contractors to ensure third-party work meets internal technical and safety specifications. Technical Advisory: Serve as the subject matter expert for complex troubleshooting and the development of standardized maintenance procedures for sophisticated machinery. Process Innovation: Identify and implement technical upgrades to improve system accuracy and workflow efficiency. Professional Profile Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Proven Leadership: Extensive experience managing engineering teams and large-scale industrial projects within a manufacturing setting. Project Mastery: Strong track record of delivering complex technical initiatives on strict timelines and budgets. Analytical Rigor: Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure. Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical details and executive-level business objectives.
