Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Engineering Manager will be the leader of Engineering staff with the responsibility to coach, supervise and develop them in supporting business development, technical, production, maintenance, and tooling related activities.Major responsibilities of position
Set direction and methodology for the day-to-day operation of the department, delegate assignments to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.Develop and implement required documentation and plans for advanced quality planning, including overview, flow chart, prototype, feasibility reviews, FMEAS, Control Plans, Process Sheets, Gauge R&Rs, Capability Studies.Ensure expenses are necessary and don't exceed capital and expense budget approvals. Maintain professional relationships with outside suppliers and vendors. Prepare proposals for capital project budgets with required justifications.Provide guidance and hands on mentoring to the engineering team to facilitate a collaborative environment
Education, experience and skills
Bachelors (or higher) Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of leadership (management) experience
