Engineering Manager
Position Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of engineering capabilities supporting industrial fluid systems, temporary process infrastructure, and project-based mechanical solutions. This role serves as the technical authority for hydraulic analysis, equipment selection, system design, engineering standards, and technical support throughout project execution.
The Engineering Manager ensures engineering decisions are technically sound, operationally effective, commercially practical, and aligned with the organization's commitment to safe, efficient, and predictable project delivery.

Primary Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Develop and maintain engineering standards, procedures, calculations, templates, and best practices.
Establish consistent engineering methodologies across projects.
Support the growth and development of engineering personnel.
Serve as the primary technical resource for engineering-related decisions.
Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, systems, and tools.
Hydraulic Analysis & System Engineering
Develop hydraulic and process system models for planning and execution.
Perform flow, pressure, velocity, and equipment performance calculations.
Evaluate system behavior and identify operational constraints.
Develop strategies to achieve project performance requirements.
Support temporary mechanical and fluid management system design.
Validate engineering assumptions used during project planning and execution.
Equipment Selection & System Design
Define equipment requirements for project execution.
Size and select pumps, filtration equipment, storage systems, piping, manifolds, and related components.
Develop temporary system layouts and operating concepts.
Support equipment standardization and fleet optimization initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and equipment solutions.
Project Support
Provide engineering support during estimating and proposal development.
Review project specifications and technical requirements.
Assist project teams with technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Participate in project planning and execution strategy development.
Develop project-specific procedures and execution plans.
Support client and stakeholder discussions involving technical scope and execution methodology.
Technical Standards & Continuous Improvement
Maintain engineering quality standards and calculation methodologies.
Support implementation of engineering software and analysis tools.
Identify opportunities to improve project execution through innovation and process improvement.
Assist in the development of proprietary tools, workflows, and technical capabilities.
Decision-Making Authority
The Engineering Manager is authorized to:
Establish engineering standards and calculation methodologies.
Approve engineering assumptions used for project execution.
Recommend equipment selections and engineering solutions.
Develop and maintain engineering procedures and technical workflows.
Direct engineering resources assigned to projects.
Major capital expenditures, staffing decisions, and significant deviations from approved execution strategies require leadership approval.
