DESCRIPTION:
As an Engineering Manager atFrontier-Kemper, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 10 Professional Engineers, along with more than eight engineers, designers, and detailers based in Evansville, IN.
Oversee all engineering and design functions across three operational divisions: Heavy Civil Tunneling, Mine Development, and OEM Equipment Manufacturing/FKC-Lake Shore.
Manage and maintain project engineering schedules and budgets.
Serve as the technical liaison with Division Managers, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Direct and coordinate engineering, operational, and quality initiatives to improve cost, delivery, and performance.
Ensure that all designs meet commercial, customer, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Lead three discipline managers in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering.
Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution.
Minimum of 15 years of related engineering experience.
Minimum of 10 years of operations management and/or engineering leadership experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
Strong technical background in Heavy Civil or Mining Construction.
Equipment design and manufacturing experience preferred.
Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and computer skills.
