Role: Engineering Manager – Electrical New Product DevelopmentLocation: Rochester, NYType: Full-Time | OnsiteJob Summary Our client, a leading aerospace and defense communications organization, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead electrical new product development and legacy sustainment initiatives for advanced tactical communication systems.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering teams supporting radio communication products
- Drive project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and risk management
- Support design integration across RF, FPGA, DSP, Mechanical, Firmware, and Systems teams
- Oversee technical reviews, requirements management, and project execution
- Support manufacturing operations, testing, and new product introduction initiatives
- Participate in cost reduction and product improvement programs
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 9+ years of engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering management or project leadership experience
- Experience in electrical new product development environments
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Agile and configuration management tools
- DOORS requirements management
- DFX analysis and manufacturing optimization
- Tactical communications or defense electronics experience
