Job Title: PE PM Engineer - Water/Wastewater Type: Direct Hire Work Location: Hybrid position in Newark, DE Candidates must currently reside in the greater Newark, DE area Job Overview: Seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Manager PE - Water/Wastewater in building and supporting municipal water, wastewater and water resources practice in the greater Newark, DE area. Essential Job Responsibilities: Growing and developing client relationships in the Newark, DE region with a primary focus on the municipal water, wastewater and water resources market. Responsible for growing the Newark, DE office to include staff recruiting, retention, and management. Fulfill engineering duties for the design, permitting, and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facility projects. Preparation of accurate presentations, process evaluation, design, details, and construction documents. Knowledge and/or understanding treatment process modeling and overall process hydraulics. Oversight of project design teams, including engineers, designers, consultants, and clients. Coordination and collaboration with firm disciplines, other project engineers or project managers. Research, interpretation and ensuring implementation of relevant codes, treatment process requirements, client requirements, standards, and templates. Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support. Periodic travel to perform business development and project management tasks. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits. Oversight and assistance with compiling documents/construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction. Oversight of project quality control implementation. Weekly coordination with and reporting to manager regarding project/program performance with respect to quality, status, schedule, and budget. Required Skills & Experience: 5-10 years of Engineering Management experience including Teams, Clients & Projects specific to Water / Wastewater engineering and infrastrucure. 5-15 years of municipal water, wastewater and water resources project Experience. Experience in design and permitting of wastewater treatment plant projects. DE PE or able to gain PE quickly through reciprocity B.S. Degree in civil/environmental/chemical engineering from a recognized, accredited program. Fundamentally sound, strong in design and value engineering, analytically strong problem-solving skills, experienced in dealing with regulatory agencies, and strong management, organization, and communication skills. Enjoy working with people, be proactive, and be a motivator. Driven to deliver quality product, a true understanding of schedule and budget, keeping managers informed, and following up to see a project to completion. Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and handle projects from inception to completion. Willing to work as a team in the office 4 days a week and have strong organization and communication skills. Requires a valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, cleared criminal background check and negative drug test result. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
