The Engineering Program Leader - Advanced Measurements Technology leads customer engagement and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the Advanced Measurements Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and build strong, influential relationships with key stakeholders.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead structured customer engagement cadences and serve as the first point of escalations for advanced measurement technology needs.
  • Partner with AMT Section leader, sub-section managers and technical leaders to identify AMT's opportunities around new sensing solutions and drive synergies with customers.
  • Drive proactive customer engagement in understanding and evaluating customer requirements, work scope, staffing needs, delivery timelines and tech-maturation.
  • Partner with technical leaders to review, present and communicate critical information during design/tech reviews, field demos, vendor engagement etc.
  • Communicate complex messages and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view and gain buy-in across the organization. Influence peers for support and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers as required.
  • Act as the internal "voice of the customer" within the Advanced measurements team and ensure prompt communication of program/project delivery status.
  • Drive new perspectives on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Work closely with other cross-functional teams within Product validation to streamline project delivery and exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure designs meet aerospace and industrial performance, reliability, and environmental standards.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Develop and manage KPIs and PPIs that help ensure measurement technology is on track to meet "Future of Flight" expectations.
  • Able to offer innovative solutions to problems outside of set parameters or vague requirements and construct and provide recommendations. Use multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (or Advanced degree) in Engineering, preferably electrical and/or mechanical from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering technical leader position, with a history of driving new measurement solutions from concept to product delivery.
  • 5+ years of proven expertise in driving tech-maturation of complex projects.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
