Engineering Program Manager

Job Summary• This role is responsible for leading teams/projects to solve common and complex business issues, by leveraging developed subject matter knowledge. The role manages and leads cross-functional program teams, delivers professional reports, develops schedules, budgets and resource plans, and tracks progress against the establishes plans, while leading less-experienced staff members. The role also identifies risks and creates mitigation plans, and reports the same to executive management.Responsibilities• Manages and leads a program involving one or more functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a subsystem or component of a product or service offering.• Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.• Understands the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.• Leads the deployment, launch, and continuous improvement of new technologies & process automation developed within the company's worldwide engineering team.• Develops schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, logistics, and other support requirements for assigned program in collaboration with both the company & contract manufacturing teams.• Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external development partners; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.• Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.• Leads bug tracking resolution and reporting of program risks, status, and options for resolution to executive management.• Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.• Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.Preferred CertificationsNAKnowledge & Skills• Agile Methodology• Automation• Change Management• Computer Science• Continuous Improvement Process• JIRA• Kanban Principles• Lean Manufacturing• Milestones (Project Management)• New Product Development• Process Improvement• Product Management• Project Engineering• Project Management• Project Planning• Project Schedules• Risk Management• Scrum (Software Development)• Software Development• Sprint PlanningCross-Org Skills• Effective Communication• Results Orientation• Learning Agility• Digital Fluency• Customer CentricityImpact & Scope• Impacts multiple teams and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.Complexity• Responds to moderately complex issues within established guidelines.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Salary

The pay range for this role is$93,400to$143,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
