Job Description Summary:

Salary: $34.51 - $51.77 per hourThe Engineering Project Controls Analyst is key to help deliver accurate project performance reporting, helping develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and managing project financials to improve decision making. This role ensures data integrity across reporting systems in collaboration with Project Managers and Accounting to maintain timely and reliable project information.

Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes payment applications for Infrastructure Engineering Department to assure it meets the terms of existing contract and remedies any discrepancies
  • Maintain and monitor coding information for all projects
  • Maintains current and forecasted cash flow data as compared to project cash flow
  • Assist in maintaining single source of truth for project records
  • Provides project management support to Engineering PMs during the entire project lifecycle including checking in monthly with PMs to update the Infrastructure Engineering Projects Spreadsheet
  • Assist with data development and maintaining accurate data for TRWD’s Project Status Power BI dashboards for general project performance metrics that will help support management decision making. Dashboard to help support other departments in the future
  • Support PMO in maintaining project financials and preparing divisional reports to ensure accurate tracking and forecasting
  • Provide quarterly update to Accounting detailing status and progress of each CIP project
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the source system feeding TRWD’s Project Status Power BI reports enabling informed decisions and preventing data quality issues
  • Facilitate monthly check-ins and maintain ongoing collaboration with Project Managers to help ensure timely updates to the source data powering TRWD’s Project Status Power BI reports
  • Maintain a comprehensive issues log and proactively propose solutions to support continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Performs data entry into Workday and systems for Engineering
  • Performs other duties as required

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of Project Accounting or Controls

Desired Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Power BI and Workday ERP Experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and initiative-taking

Required Education/Certification/License:

  • Associates Degree or will substitute degree with 5 years of Project Accounting or Controls
  • Valid Texas driver’s license

Desired Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
