Job Description

American Concrete Products, a growing precast concrete manufacturer is seeking an Engineering Services Coordinator who will assist with product drafting and engineering, submittal production, estimating, B.O.M. generation, release work and technical procurement for Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) products.

Critical Job Functions:

  • Assists Project Managers, Staff and Customers to determine submittal requirements post-sale.
  • Compile and bookmark project submittal packages in Bluebeam and manage submittal revision history.
  • Uses AutoCAD, MH Pro, and K-Bridge to develop layout and submittal drawings as directed.
  • Maintain submittal library and vendor pricelists, to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Draft Bills of Material (B.O.M.), product checklists, and purchase requisitions for vendors for sub-assemblies and components.
  • Follows up on site-direct shipments from vendors, obtains and files Proof of Delivery (P.O.D.) and notifies customers.
  • Assists PM team with delivery schedule maintenance in accordance with scheduling guidelines.
  • Assists Engineering & PM teams to publish release work to Manufacturing on deadline.
  • Assists with the preparation of estimates, B.O.M.s, and obtaining vendor quotes for buyouts and customer change orders.
  • Issue customer-facing quotes for after-market accessories and re-orders.
  • Assists with ERP System Part Creation, Part and B.O.M. Maintenance across all sites.
  • Answer and return Customer phone calls in a timely manner and handle issues swiftly and professionally.

Performance Metrics

  • Customer Service: On-time delivery of submittals and technical documentation within established project timeframe.
  • Consistently delivers weekly quota of quantity of submittals production, requisitions, quotes and release work.
  • Meets or exceeds turn times in performing key tasks such as submittal production, release work, and part maintenance.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in REVU Bluebeam required.  AutoCAD/REVIT a major plus.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, mechanical and/or inventory control experience a major plus.
  • Associates degree or equivalent vocational training.  Engineering degree (Mechanical or Civil) a plus but not required.
  • Strong computer experience and knowledge in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Job requires some out-of-town travel for training at jobsites & plants in other states, less than 10% of the time.
