EAM-Mosca Corp., Hazle Township PA, a dynamic market leader in the area of end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions, is seeking an experienced Engineering Support Specialist to support our Engineering Department. The position is an on-site position in Hazle Township, PA. EAM-Mosca is privately held and retains a unique, focused, entrepreneurial culture. EAM-Mosca also enjoys a blue-chip client base of highly successful North and South American manufacturing companies and has a portfolio of products applicable to a variety of end-use markets. The key to the ongoing success of the business is a system-based product portfolio featuring standard as well as custom engineered packaging machinery solutions and a superior consumable packaging product, complimented by quality technical service and readily available aftersales parts support.Job Summary: The Engineering Support Specialist provides administrative, technical, and documentation support to the Engineering department.  This role is responsible for AS400 ERP/MRP system setup and record maintenance for machines, assemblies, parts, and bills of materials.  In addition, the role supports Engineering Change Request processing and manages drawing release and revision control.Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and personnel.Job Duties:
  • Perform data entry within the AS400 system.
  • Create and maintain machine configurations, product options, assemblies, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering records, and related product data within the AS400 system.
  • Support the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of engineering documentation prior to release.
  • Coordinate engineering changes with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Service departments as required.
  • Manage engineering drawing releases and maintain revision control.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and document management.
  • Support CAREs system responses related to customer and internal quality reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and print labels, including data tags and UL labels.
  • Manage RECSPAR (recommended spare parts) lists and associated documentation.
  • Support engineered-to-order (ETO) custom item setup, execution, and follow-through.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Profile and Background
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Business Administration, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or document control environment.
  • Experience creating and maintaining bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering records.
  • Working knowledge of engineering change management processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using AS400 or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with engineering document control and revision management.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for viewing and making basic revisions to engineering drawings.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
