Engineering Support Specialist I (3Rd Shift)

As an Engineering Support Specialist I, a typical day might include the following:

• Complete basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff.
• Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers. Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
• Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions.
• Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts.
• Develop basic proficiency in the activities required to support one of the Operation Team's disciplines (i.e. Flowline product failures, Product Hospital, test infrastructure support, or Test Lab), or R&D's disciplines (i.e. Lab Support, Product Test, Infrastructure, or Compliance).

This job might be for you if:

• Two years' relevant experience
• Able to efficiently operate Windows and MS Office
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years' experience working with SEL products or relevant experience
• Experience with computer-controlled test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring diagrams

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
• Ability to differentiate color
• Use of computer keyboard devices
• Reach, Bend, Twist

Pay Range Data

New hires generally start between $25.96 - $38.37 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
