Engineering/Technical - Industrial Engineer II

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead manufacturing and supply chain initiatives across multiple sites in North America. This role focuses on driving outsourcing, supplier transitions, and process optimization projects that improve capacity, productivity, and operational performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing project management or industrial engineering, with the ability to manage complex, multi-site initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Lead and manage supply chain and manufacturing projects, including outsourcing, supplier transitions, and process improvements
• Drive initiatives related to part qualification, capacity expansion, tooling implementation, and production optimization
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and service across manufacturing operations
• Coordinate project activities across multiple sites in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada
• Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved

Planning & Reporting

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables
• Provide weekly project status updates, including progress, risks, and timelines
• Track and report project data using tools such as JIRA and other internal platforms
• Participate in governance and stage-gate reviews to ensure alignment and progress

Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Support supplier engagement, including site visits and performance alignment
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external partners
• Manage and document changes in plant processes, materials, and production setups

Process Improvement & Strategy

• Apply structured methodologies (e.g., Quality Value Engineering or similar) to drive continuous improvement
• Support decision-making related to material changes, line design, and production processes
• Collaborate with leadership to anticipate future supply chain and capacity needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Strong experience in manufacturing or supply chain project management (non-IT)
• Proven experience managing projects across multiple plants or sites
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, including process or production changes
• Strong documentation and change management skills
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA or similar systems)
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in industrial engineering or manufacturing operations
• Experience with structured process improvement methodologies (e.g., QVE or similar)
• Experience managing supplier transitions or sourcing-related projects
• Familiarity with North American manufacturing operations
