Job Description

We are hiring an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team!

DISCOVER

As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a hands‑on role in testing, troubleshooting, and improving electro‑mechanical systems in a fast‑paced lab environment. Your work will directly support engineering decisions by generating reliable test data, identifying trends, and uncovering root causes of failures.

In this role, you'll set up and implement component and system tests, build and maintain test fixtures, and ensure test results are clearly documented and communicated. Your technical judgment and ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation will be critical to success.

Beyond execution, you'll serve as a technical resource within the lab, supporting junior technicians, sharing standard processes, and helping improve test methods, data collection, and reporting processes. You'll collaborate closely with Engineering teams to translate test insights into corrective actions and product improvements. If you enjoy combining hands‑on technical work with data analysis and problem‑solving and want to contribute meaningfully to product quality and innovation, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact.

YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT

  • Do you enjoy hands‑on testing in a lab environment? Perform component and system testing in support of new product development and product improvement, including setup, execution, and detailed documentation of results.
  • Are you comfortable building and refining test equipment? Build, modify, and maintain test setups and fixtures, integrating instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and automation platforms.
  • Do you like working with automation and controls? Support automated test setups using platforms such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar technologies.
  • Do you value clear documentation and standard work? Create and maintain test procedures, test reports, and standard work to support repeatability and continuous improvement.
  • Do you enjoy working with data to tell a story? Collect, organize, and analyze test data using Excel and other tools to identify trends, variation, and potential failure patterns.
  • Are you curious about failures and root causes? Analyze field and warranty data and collaborate with Engineering teams to perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Do you like mentoring others? Serve as a technical resource for the lab, guiding junior technicians on test methods, troubleshooting approaches, and best practices.
  • Do you thrive in a fast‑paced, independent work environment? Manage multiple test activities with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, safety, and documentation quality.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in testing, troubleshooting, or engineering lab environments
  • Strong experience with electro‑mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits, AC/DC electrical systems, sensors, controllers, and other electrical or electronic components preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis, trending, and reporting
  • Experience working with test data, including organizing, analyzing, and presenting results
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and automated test setups
  • Experience with automation and control platforms such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of network connectivity and communication technologies, including Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and connected device interfaces
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills, including interpreting graphical data and identifying trends
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams in a multi‑tasking environment
