EngineeringTechnician – Electronic&Electro-MechanicalAssembly (Automotive)Location: FosterCity, CA (Onsite – LincolnCentre)PayRate: $40.00/hourSchedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00AM – 3:30PM (30+ hrs/week)Contract | Two-stagedonline & onsiteinterviewRoleOverviewWe are hiring an Engineering Technician to support electronic hardware development, electro-mechanical assembly, and prototype testing for automotive applications. This role focuses on rapid prototyping, low-volume production builds, and engineering lab support, enabling fast design iterations across the product development lifecycle.This is a hands-on lab-based position supporting cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-precision environment where quality, safety, and schedule adherence are critical.KeyResponsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of electronic hardware from engineering prototypes through short-run production
- Support engineers during new product development (NPD) to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes
- Develop and execute alternative assembly techniques to resolve build and design issues
- Conduct final product testing per written procedures and engineering documentation
- Perform quality inspections as a designated Quality Delegate, reviewing work completed by other technicians
- Accurately follow process documentation, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
- Use standard lab tools and equipment to support hardware validation and testing
- Communicate clearly and proactively with engineers and lab team members
- Maintain clean, organized, and EHS-compliant workspaces
- Ensure consistent attendance, punctuality, and schedule reliability
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or engineering lab environments
- Proven experience assembling and testing electronic hardware in low-volume or prototype manufacturing settings
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentation
- Proficiency using standard assembly tools, including:Soldering irons,Cutters, crimpers, torque tools, Pin insertion/removal tools
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear verbal and written English communication skills
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic data entry systems
- Technical training in soldering, trade school, or formal on-the-job training (OJT)
- Experience supporting automotive, robotics, or autonomous vehicle hardware programs
- IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001)
- Prior experience acting as a Quality Delegate or inspection authority
