Your Role on Our Team:

Our Engineering Team is responsible to develop “Best-In-Class” products and manufacturing solutions with the highest level of quality.TheEngineering TechnicianIIplays a crucial role in providing innovative solutions to some of the most challenging testingrequirementsin industry that support our product development teams.Therolewill operate custom test equipment and other systems in support of R&D and NPD activities.The role will ensure testing is reliable, effective, and efficient.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute tests per work instructions and request procedures.

  • Prepare reports utilizing a PC with word processing, database, spreadsheet and statistical/graphical software

  • Perform hands-on testing using power tools and accessories

  • Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs of test equipment

  • Set up and verify the effectiveness of fixtures. Project execution and job progress to completion.

  • Assistsenior technicians in critical and involvedtests orrun such tests under supervision.

  • Agility to work on multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and organization

  • Maintain test equipment in good working order and incalibration.

  • Propose recommendations to the Accessories Engineering team based off the data collected.

  • Provide support to the engineering team in the design and build of test fixtures.

  • Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy in preparing and reviewing technical reports on tests performed.  

  • Follow 5S principles and maintain a clean and organized working environment

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Check availability of inventoried materials and tools for testing, submit purchase orders if necessary

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Flexible schedule to support testing outside the normal shift and weekends when needed

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work independently is required.

  • Must have previous experience using power tools.

  • Knowledge of test concepts in the design and development of products and components is preferred.

  • Technology relatedassociate degree(Such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automation Systems Technology, etc.) or equivalent is required.  

  • One to five years of experience with test equipment, product life / performance test procedures & methods, and mechanical principles are required. 

  • Basic electronics understanding – AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, controllers is required.

  • Understanding of common machine component applications and assembly is preferred.

  • Experience working with SOMATeDAQandnCodeGlyphworksis preferred, but not required.

  • Basic machining skills are preferred, but not required.
