POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is looking for a proficient English - Slovak Interpreter to join our team. In this position, you will be tasked with providing accurate interpretation services that facilitate effective communication between English and Slovak speakers in various environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interpret spoken words in real-time for meetings, medical appointments, legal proceedings, and community interactions between English and Slovak speakers.
Ensure accurate and complete interpretation while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism throughout all interpretation sessions.
Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and gaining an understanding of the specific contexts involved.
Continuously improve language proficiency and stay informed about relevant industry developments to better serve our clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

Fluency in both English and Slovak, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages.
Strong cultural awareness and understanding to facilitate effective and sensitive interpretation.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in high-pressure situations.
Prior experience in interpretation, particularly within medical or legal settings, is preferred.
